Christmas was well in the past now, and Logan had settled into the new year. Things with Jack were- Well, they were as normal as he could hope, though things were still strange. There was no easy way to just get over learning some other him had lived some other life- With a man who was now his boss. Still, Logan had accepted that life was complicated, and he'd moved on as best as he could.

It was late now and most of the team had already left- But not Jack. Logan was certain the man never truly left work. Even when he said he was taking a night off, he was sure he was just working on something else. So after clicking off the lights in the record room he made his way to Jack's office, pushing open the unlocked door and leaning against the door frame.

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy," he tutted. "Come on, we're going out," he decided.

"When I sleep, I sleep on the floor. Trust me, it's a nice bed," he told him. He hesitated a moment, then took off his suspenders and undid his belt.

Logan watched, and after a moment pulled off his shirt. He'd shed his shoes hours ago, and he hadn't bothered with a belt today.

"How do you wear all that crap everyday?" he asked, mildly amused.

"I get cold," he said. Trosers aside, he wore boxer briefs that peeked out from under his shirt tail. He undid the buttons, which left him in his t shirt and pants. He stripped off his socks.

"Which side?" he asked. He wondered if that was the same.

Logan observed him, stripping down to his briefs and then laying down.

"Left," he replied, though that was obvious now.

Jack took the right and laid down, squirming under the blankets. He was freezing, though to the touch he was quite warm.

"Goodnight, Logan," he said as he settled into the pillow.

Logan was still for a long moment, laying on his back and staring up at the ceiling- And then something just came over him. Something he didn't understand. Something he didn't want to overthink.

Rolling over, Logan settled against the other man, one arm around him and his head half on his chest.

Jack gently wrapped his arm around Logan, holding him a way so familiar it could have been just last night and not centuries later.

"That's good," he said quietly.

Logan said nothing, he just held on tighter. He didn't want to overthink it tonight.

Jack lay very still. He coudn't sleep, not usually and certainly not now. He was content to lay there in the dark. Logan was solid against him. He had honestly kind of lost hope he'd ever have this again.

Logan smoothed his hand down Jack's chest- Little touches, soft strokes.

Jack did close his eyes. Like this he could almost taste the salty, humid air, the ocean, the palms...

God, he'd missed this. Now that Logan was in his proper place, Jack couldn't imagine how he'd survived so long without him.

Logan drifted off for a while, and when he woke it was dark out. He was groggy, half-asleep, and his hand roamed lower. There was a warm body beside him, that's all he knew as he began to touch the other man.

Jack couldn't help the sharp intake of breath at the touch that pulled him out of his light meditation. Desire sparked through him like fire, but he didn't dare move.

Logan woke slowly, curling his fingers around Jack's cock. ...Jack, that's who was with him. Jack.

This was a bad idea. The worst.

Maybe that was fine.

"Oh, god," he exhaled, the arm around Logan tightening a little. It took seemingly no time at all before he was aching and hard.

Logan pressed a kiss to his neck, grip tightening.

"Christ, Logan," Jack groaned. He tugged at the other man, trying to bring him close to kiss.

Logan let himself be pulled closer, kissing him softly and holding on.

"Say it- Say what you want," he said quietly.

"I want you," he said softly, the truth of it burning all over just under his skin. "I want all of you. I need you more than you can ever know..."

Logan said nothing for a moment, then nodded once.

"Okay," he replied. "I want this too."

Jack shifted so he could catch hold of Logan's face and kiss him. Really kiss him with something fueled by every bit of love and desire he felt.

Logan returned the kiss, and even though he'd done it before kissing Jack was different than other men.. He couldn't say how, exactly, he just... Was. His own hands found Jack's waist, holding on tight.

Jack hungrily devoured every kiss, aching to do more. More now. It was like a frenzy and when he realized what he was doing he pulled back.

"Are you sure?" he asked, worried he might have pressured Logan into this somehow.

"I'm sure," Logan replied. "I'm certain. It's been building to this, we both know it. Weeks, months- Years for you. That matters, that means something."

Jack nodded in agreement, then kissed Logan again, dragging his hands all over the shape of him. This was all he'd wanted for so long now.

And now Jack realized he had no plan for what happened after.

And right now he just didn't care.
