Jack - Play, then Work
He was never going to get used to this. It wasn't as if they spent all their time together, this was still new after all, but they spent enough time that waking up in Jack's fucking hobbit hole happened more than Logan liked.
"You need a real bed. And a real bedroom. ...And sheets that don't date back to World War One," he complained, rubbing his face as he sat up and turned on the light.

Jack was fairly certain Logan was trying to kill him.
"Yeah, alright," he said, reluctantly backing off.
no subject
Logan shot him some finger guns, looking exactly like the cocky teenage shit he'd been when they'd first met.
"Later Captain Prettyboy."
no subject
Definitely trying to kill him.
With Logan gone, jack sat down with the scan results to see if there was anything out of the ordinary. He couldn't accept that it was simply random.
no subject
Logan did exactly as he'd said, buying clothes that actually fit and dragging it all back to his flat- His stupid, boring, flat.
"God this place sucks," he said, pulling a face as he looked around. An hour later and he'd emptied his own bank account buying himself everything from a new gaming system to some wall art. Stupid things. Things his older self had known he didn't need.
Bored, he texted Jack.
Whatever you're doing it's not as fun as me
no subject
Where are you?
Of course he could have tracked him, but that would mean going to a computer.
no subject
Logan sent the text and then tossed the phone on the bed before heading out into the living room to play PUBG. Jack would either come or he wouldn't.
no subject
Jack used his phone to get a trace, which, really, if he'd thought for a moment he could have figured it out.
He tidied up his mess of the day then headed out, stopping long enough to pick up pizza and beer.
Rather than text to prepare Logan, he just turned up with dinner.
no subject
"It's open," Logan called to the knock at the door, certain it was Jack. He wasn't expecting anyone else. ...Hell, there wasn't really anyone else.
no subject
Jack let himself in and smiled at Logan.
"Is there anything sexier than a hot guy showing up with pizza and beer?" he asked. "No. No there's not."
no subject
Logan paused his game and got to his feet, grinning as he headed over.
"I mean, it makes my top ten..." he joked.
no subject
"Top ten? Easily top three," he protested. "You want a plate or just eat it over the box like savages?"
no subject
"Boxes- And top five, no higher," Logan grinned, leaning over and kissing Jack's cheek.
no subject
"I am deeply, deeply wounded," Jack deadpanned, cracking a beer and passing it to Logan.
no subject
"You love it," Logan grinned, taking the beer and knocking back a large swig.
no subject
"Yeah, there's that," he laughed. He grabbed a slice, then leaned back against the counter.
"What all did you get? Decent clothes?" he asked.
no subject
"I didn't buy too much, I didn't want to get told off. Just jeans and t-shirts. Thank god my shoes still fit, right?" Logan laughed, grabbing his own slice and smiling at Jack between bites. "What did you do this afternoon?"
no subject
"I went over the data from the scanners and I did some follow up on the mist. You know, just work," he shrugged. As if he'd have been doing anything else.
no subject
"Gross, real work. Makes me miss the island," Logan laughed. "Don't you miss sleeping in and getting stoned? ...God, I bet you don't. You're so responsible, with all that work ethic."
no subject
"I do kind of miss it, but this is important work," he said. "I've been here since the beginning."
no subject
"I know, it wasn't a dig, Jack," Logan promised, growing a bit more serious. "It's your thing- I respect that."
no subject
"Good," he said, feeling just a little shy about showing Logan how genuinely passionate he was about Torchwood.
"You better," he continued, full of bravado. "Because the next time the world needs saving, it's on you."
no subject
"Fuck off," Logan laughed, carrying the pizza to the couch and gesturing for Jack to follow.
no subject
"Nope, all on you," he teased. Before he joined Logan he got a bottle of water.
"You've been playing your game?" he asked, nodding to the hold screen.
no subject
"I was playing PUBG, but after a million losses I gave up and started playing Destiny. I'm shit at both," Logan snorted.
no subject
"I'm shit at all of them," he said. "If I want to die over and over, I'll just go...nevermind."
