Jack - Play, then Work

He was never going to get used to this. It wasn't as if they spent all their time together, this was still new after all, but they spent enough time that waking up in Jack's fucking hobbit hole happened more than Logan liked.

"You need a real bed. And a real bedroom. ...And sheets that don't date back to World War One," he complained, rubbing his face as he sat up and turned on the light.

"Never in a million," Jack said, reaching up to stroke Logan's cheek. "Whatever is going on, you're you...and that's all I've ever wanted."

Logan relaxed visibly and nodded a little. "Well, I'm glad you still have shit taste in men then," he joked awkwardly.

"The best taste," he countered. He gave Logan a smile and a cheeky wink, then smacked the side of his ass.

"I'm done invading your space."

"What if I want you to stay in my space?" Logan asked with a grin.

Jack wet his lips, his eyes growing darker.

"Make me," he challenged.

Logan raised a brow at that, then shrugged.

"If you don't want to be here, that's fine, Captain," he decided, moving to dress again.

Jack reached out and took hold of him, then hauled him close.

"Make me," he challenged again...well aware he was basically inviting Logan to punch him.

All it did though was leave Logan at odds with himself- His younger self itching for a fight, but his grown self holding back, fighting to keep his impulses in check.

"Jack," Logan warned.

He let go his hold and caressed Logan as he drew back.

"Okay," he said.

Logan slowly relaxed, then pulled Jack down to kiss him hard. It was a hungry kiss, desperate and eager.

For Jack, it seemed to happen in slow motion. A hand there, then fingers. A pull. Bend there. And then his kiss. Jack closed his eyes and lost himself in it. He'd never kissed anyone in all these long years that was as perfect as Logan. It was if their mouths were just made to fit.

Jack kissed him eagerly, kissed him like a man drowning.

...Which meant he wasn't thinking too hard about controlling the life energy that threatened to overflow.

Logan felt it, but he didn't pull away. Yes, it was still always a bit of a shock in some ways, but it was also just... Jack. It was part of the man and it was beautiful.

Jack pawed at him, tugging him closer and holding him in place. Everything he'd felt, the worry and hesitation, the elation and joy, the worry and fear...it all came through as he devoured Logan's mouth.

That calm of the older Logan bleed through a little, his own hands smoothing over Jack's shoulders and back.

"It's okay," he said between kisses. "We're here, it's okay. We're together."

"I know...I know," Jack gasped, but it seemed what he knew and what he felt weren't quite aligned.

Logan nodded, kissing him back soundly, then tugging him towards the old metal table in the middle of the room.

Jack willingly followed. He was like a man under a spell- he couldn't stop touching Logan. It didn't matter where, he simply had to have his hands on him.

Logan was a bit clumsy as he tried to get them both onto the table, then laughed when it felt like it might give beneath them.

"See? This, this is why we need a real place," he insisted.

"Point taken," he chuckled. "We can get right on househunting...after a while."

[logan_echolls]

"After a while? Why does that sound like Harkness for 'sometime after never'?" Logan asked with a snort. "Besides, I'm not fucking you on a table in the middle of the med bay, I just wanted to see if you were game," Logan smirked, pushing Jack away lightly. "I'm taking the company card and buying a new wardrobe. This all feels very billable. Meet me back at mine tonight?"

Jack was fairly certain Logan was trying to kill him.

"Yeah, alright," he said, reluctantly backing off.

Logan shot him some finger guns, looking exactly like the cocky teenage shit he'd been when they'd first met.

"Later Captain Prettyboy."

Definitely trying to kill him.

With Logan gone, jack sat down with the scan results to see if there was anything out of the ordinary. He couldn't accept that it was simply random.

Logan did exactly as he'd said, buying clothes that actually fit and dragging it all back to his flat- His stupid, boring, flat.

"God this place sucks," he said, pulling a face as he looked around. An hour later and he'd emptied his own bank account buying himself everything from a new gaming system to some wall art. Stupid things. Things his older self had known he didn't need.

Bored, he texted Jack.

Whatever you're doing it's not as fun as me

Of course he could have tracked him, but that would mean going to a computer.
